Definition of Termux and its usability functions
Those of you who have just heard this term may be confused, what is a terminal emulator? Simply put, the terminal emulator is like a Command Prompt (CMD) on Windows or Linux. If CMD exists on Windows or Linux, this terminal emulator is on the Android operating system. This terminal is used to enter, display, and print data.
The advantage of Termux is that this application can be installed directly on your Android smartphone without the need for rooting or other settings. Termux doesn't need that. This application also supports 32bit or 64bit-based Android devices.
This application was made by Fredik Fornwall. Since its first release on June 30, 2015 on Google PlayStore, Termux has been downloaded by more than 10 million android users. As of this writing, Termux has reached version 0.101 and will continue to be updated.
Use of Termux
You have been invited to know a little about Termux, its founder, and the release date of this application. Maybe you are curious, what is the use of this terminal emulator application? This paper will also discuss this matter.
As a terminal emulator, Termux functions almost the same as Command Prompt in Windows and Linux OS. The difference lies in the commands used. In general, the following are uses of Termux:
Run programming languages like Python, Ruby, and Perl directly without the need for rooting.
Hack wifi network, speed up internet connection, and keep internet network stable
Used for SSH Client
Run a terminal based text editor application
Access the internet with Lynx or a browser using a terminal base
Eject the flash from the smartphone connected to the OTG
Apart from the six uses of Termux mentioned above, Termux still has many uses if you know how to give commands to this application. Then, can Termux be used for hacking?
The answer is yes. The Termux application can be used for hacking websites. If you want to use Termux for that purpose, you can't use the app alone. You need additional tools such as Hydra, Nmap, and the like. Although it can be used for hacking, you should use Termux wisely and not for bad purposes let alone harming others.
